Regional Fellowship

State Library Victoria

In association with Regional Arts Victoria, the inaugural Regional Fellowship is available to a regional Victorian to be inspired by, repurpose, transform or imaginatively respond to published or original source material from the Library's extensive collection, in any way they choose to create new work. The fellowship carries a grant of $15,000 and is for a period of three months full time, or longer if undertaken in a part-time capacity. Applications close 28 April 2019.

Churchill Fellowship

Churchill Trust

A Churchill Fellowship can offer you (as an Australian citizen) the remarkable opportunity to travel overseas to investigate a topic or an issue that you are passionate about. Ephemeral Art Program – EOI

Wodonga Council

Wodonga Council aims to support a fun and creative city through the Space Activation arts program. Creating the unexpected is the key objective. Council is calling on visual artists to express their interest for inclusion in various short-term art projects in 2019 – a great opportunity for artists to show their work in high visibility spaces and places. These rotating art projects include: The Cube Wodonga public piano; artwork for display in the Open Gallery light boxes; and artwork for display in the Cube Cafe planter boxes. Applications close 30 April 2019.

First Nations Fellowship

HarperCollins Publishers 

Flinders University of South Australia, Harlequin— a division of HarperCollinsPublishers Australia — and Writers SA invite applications for a Commercial Fiction Fellowship for First Nations Writers. In recognition of the scarcity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices in Australian commercial fiction, this Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for a writer to work closely with a leading industry expert and a major publishing house to bring a commercial manuscript for a novel to a publishable standard. John Truscott Design Foundation & University of Melbourne

The John Truscott Design Fellowship is a partnership of the John Truscott Design Foundation and the University of Melbourne. The Fellowship is awarded to a scholar or writer to prepare a manuscript biography of John Truscott (1936 – 1993), known for his celebrated, multi-faceted career covering numerous creative disciplines. Ian Potter Cultural Trust Emerging Artist Grant

The Ian Potter Trust

The Ian Potter Cultural Trust is committed to encouraging excellence and supporting a vibrant, world-class arts scene in Australia. The Cultural Trust offers grants up to $10,000 to assist talented emerging and early career artists to undertake international professional development opportunities, gain experience, develop networks and learn skills from leaders in their field. Stella Young Award 2019

Arts Access Australia 

Arts Access Victoria cherishes the memory of our collaborator Stella Young and honours her by awarding a young Australian disabled artist each year with $3,000. This is a great opportunity for young disabled artists aged between 16 and 30 years old to be recognised for their impact on disability activism and culture through their artistic practice (in comedy, performing arts or screen culture). CREATE grants offer opportunities for mid-career and established creative writers and visual artists to create and develop new work by providing time to write and create. These grants are not intended to support academics with scholarly or academic works. Applications are assessed by a panel of independent peers from the writing, publishing and visual arts sectors. Amount of grant: $10,000, $15,000 or $20,000. Applications close 19 August 2019.

Quick Response Arts Grants

City of Melbourne

Does your arts project or practice need a quick boost? Maybe a potential collaborator is in town or an unexpected opportunity has popped up? You can now apply for support up to $4,000 through our new Quick Response Arts Grants. You can be located anywhere, but your funding must result in a public outcome activated within the City of Melbourne municipality. Applications close 20 September 2019.

Sturt Craft Centre

Sturt Craft Centre Artist in Residence

Sturt Craft Centre invites applications from experienced craft practitioners to the Sturt Artist-in-Residence program. Residencies occur in the craft disciplines of ceramics, jewellery/metalwork, textiles and woodwork. Four to six residencies occur at Sturt each year.
