Yackandandah's latest artist studio hub proudly supporting artists participating in Fresh & Unframed 2014.

Yack Station is the local Arts & Crafts Precinct situated in Turntable Lane, Yackandandah.

This year as a prize for one Fresh & Unframed applicant, we wish to offer three months free studio rental at Yack Station for the artist to experience life at the Station and enjoy the special relationship with the other artists. The building, the brain-child of architect, Kevin Poyner,  has been built from largely re-cycled materials, including trusses from the old Dunstans building in Thomas Mitchell Dve Wodonga, oregon lining boards from the demolished Albury Flour Mill and shop front windows from The Strand Arcade in Elizabeth St Melbourne.

Currently there are 6 studio spaces occupied by various artists including a weaver, a jeweller, a potter, as well as visual and graphic artists. There are still a further 5 studios available. Artists who may be interested in renting a space can contact Kevin Poyner at Indi Architects on 0260562244/ mb 0439849785 or through the web-site www.yackstation.com

Yack Station also has an exhibition gallery which will be used to hold both local and regional art exhibitions.
