Three years in the making, a colourful mural has been installed on the Woolworth's Sanger Street wall in Corowa.

The idea, initiated by the Friends of Sanger St Inc. was to create an artistic representation of the Murray River as it flows through the Federation Shire. The river, laser cut from oxidising steel, is surrounded by panels depicting local flora and fauna. This community project engaged with 25 artists, 10 High School students and 59 Primary School children. Indigenous artist Eddy Harris was commissioned to run workshops at local Primary Schools, funded under the Country Arts Support Program (CASP), through Murray Arts - administered by Regional Arts NSW. The launch of the 'Our Place' Mural is taking place in Sanger St. Corowa this Friday 2 December 2016 at 6pm. All welcome.
