Lawrie Sheridan is a singer/ songwriter and bush poet who suffered a massive stroke in 2002. At the time of his stroke he was guitarist for Gypsy-Rose Moon who has since been his constant companion and carer.

Gypsy-Rose had an unwavering faith in Lawrie's creativity throughout all the trials of his early recovery years and believed that even though he could no longer play the guitar and sing he still had the ability to be creative. Consequently, she initiated an artist coming in to work with him. This resulted in Janene Castillo coming to work with him and the special connection they had since day one made it possible to draw out his artistic talent.

Lawrie's many achievements before the stroke and his strong spirit after attest to a man who was and is very determined and accomplished in whatever he decides to achieve in life. His foray into painting in the past 16 months have been proof of his ability to overcome whatever is put in front of him and to work toward his goal.
