Bec Bromley Humphries

After studying the amazing ways paper is used in contemporary art and sculpture, Bec has been focusing on experimenting with different types of paper, textiles, vintage books and words and phrases.

Most recently she created a paper sculpture from a Christian Bible, entitled At Heart, which was exhibited at the Rock Paper Scissors exhibition at Creators Artspace at the start of October. The work was intended to reflect upon the essence of faith.

Bec loves to examine our relationship with books and written language through her art and craft and is inspired by the fairy tale paper cuts of Emma Van Leest and the amazing paper sculptures of UK artist Ellen Bell.

Bec has created a contemporary craft line "Red Jacket", which can be viewed at www.redjacketonline.comon Facebook as Red Jacket Australia or on Etsy; www.redjacketonline.etsy.com
