“I work to reveal the hidden beauty of all things (seen), yet unrecognized by (the) many”.

Ross embraced digital photography after exploring a number of different art forms.

It is important to him, to show, that his illness – medically diagnosed Small Fibre Polyneuropathy, is not a limiting factor in producing distinctive work.  The illness interferes with his ability to walk, and feel sensation in his feet.

Ross uses quality prime and zoom lenses and has learnt through trial and error to produce startling effects.

“My intention is to make images with my subject, not of my subject. My chosen theme of rain drops and portraits, fill me with wonder and inspires me to form a narrative, however limited. I try to express the dual feelings of appreciation and intrigue through my imagery and attempt to enlighten, uplift and amaze the viewer. Photography has the potential to transcend its original subject and tell remarkable and unforgettable stories. Powerful images distill something of the In-Dwelling Spirit found in the universe and this is what motivates me to make wondrous images”.
